Village of Lone Rock Treasurer Position
Responsibilities include but are not limited to general office clerical duties and record keeping.
The ability to work with the public and perform general office and accounting tasks. Must be able 
to perform online research that supports completion of necessary forms and reports. Attend related 
meetings or training.
Position is salaried, approximately 24 hours per week. The posted hours are Monday through 
Thursday, 9:00 am to noon, normally work until 2:00 or 3:00. Off on Friday,
The responsibilities listed below do not include every task done.
Set up Zoom meetings (this would include Village Board meetings) Update Village Web Site with 
events, notices, and updates to information. Collect all money due the Village and deposit to 
proper account.
Property Tax: Set up delinquent accounts to be added to taxes, get tax info from the County, mail 
out tax forms, collect tax money, make any settlement forms, pay amounts to county, technical 
college, school district and village. Usually work on the last day of December and January to 
collect taxes.
Utility Side of Village: maintain individual account records, (new, close, problems etc.), billing 
information, collection of money. Answer any questions on utility.
PSC Annual Report
Assist in preparation of the village budget & annual financing. Cross Train with Village Clerk 
position and assist with all Elections.
Minimum qualifications: Education: High school diploma, Work experience in accounting. Proficiency 
in Microsoft Office is essential. The ability to learn quickly and be intuitive about additional 
software programs is essential.
